Bowen Therapy
...a unique, gentle, effective method that allows your body to heal itself

Bowen is a unique, gentle, effective method that improves the ability of your body to heal itself. This manual therapy was developed in the 1950's, and consists of a sequence of precise rolling moves over your muscles, tendons and ligaments, which 'reset' your body and help it to heal itself.

It is unlike any other hands on therapy as the treatment involves pauses while your body integrates the signals. So gentle, it can be used on anyone from babies to the elderly. Practiced internationally, many Physiotherapists and Osteopaths use the techniques as a part of their therapy.

How does Bowen work..?

Balancing and stimulating energy flows, Bowen gives you a deep sense of relaxation, which is essential to help restore the autonomic nervous system balance and encourage natural healing.

What conditions can it help?

Bowen has been known to help some of the following:

  • Allergies, Asthma and other respiratory problems
  • Bell's palsy, TMJ and grinding teeth
  • Back Pain
  • Digestive problems such as IBS
  • Dizziness, Dyslexia, Ear aches and infections
  • Foot problems (plantar fasciitis, bunions)
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Headaches (migraine, sinus)
  • Hernia and heartburn
  • Kidney and bladder disorders
  • Knee and hip restrictions
  • Menstrual and other female problems
  • Pelvic (tilt, leg length, hip imbalance)
  • Repetitive stress injury (RSI)
  • Skeletal & muscular problems from lumbar to neck
  • Sciatica
  • Stress
  • Sleep problems

How much will this cost?

The number of treatments you need depends on your problem- it could be just 2 or 3 sessions and for more long standing and complex problems you may need several treatments. Depending on the stresses you go through and once you are problem free, you should come for reviews (every 6 months/yearly) to pick up problems early and make sure they stay away, just as you do with your dentist.

Treatments sessions last up to one hour, and costs £42.
