Kirsten Lord - BSc(Physio) MCSP AMus(Aust)

Managing Director & Chartered Physiotherapist

Kirsten completed her Physiotherapy degree in Adelaide, Australia in 1989. She moved to Edinburgh in 1991 and in 1992 founded The Edinburgh Physiotherapy Centre. Through extensive postgraduate training she has gained standards of excellence in treatment of sporting injuries, RSI, spinal pain and chronic pain. Her previous studies in music also help her understand and treat many professional musicians. In addition to treating a wide range of spinal and joint problems, her versatility and experience has also allowed her to work with Olympic sportspersons and professional actors, such as with her commission as on-site Physio for 'The Jacket', a George Clooney production.

During the past few years she has devoted substantial time to scientific golf research. As consultant lecturer for the PGA, she has appeared on the Golf Channel, and is recognised by The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as the UK golf Physiotherapy expert. Her work in this field is devoted to both reduction of injury and performance enhancement. Along with Mark Comerford, world renowned researcher and lecturer, Kirsten launched the Swingbuster Golf Assessment, specifically for golfers, which is now available at the clinic.

Kirsten is based in the Edinburgh Centre and manages the rapidly expanding Centre whilst maintaining the highest professional standards. She hand- picks only the best clinicians to work with her.

Kelly Horne - BHSc (Physiotherapy) MCSP, PG Cert (Western Acupuncture)

Chartered Physiotherapist

Having qualified in 2002 from Auckland University of Technology New Zealand, Kelly initially gained experience in the hospital system before quickly moving to Private Practice.

Since then she has specialised in treating sports, musculoskeletal and work related injuries. Kelly has furthered her sports therapy skills by working with a diverse array of teams including soccer, rugby, netball, skiing and snowboarding. The highlight of her sporting experiences was her role as team physiotherapist for the senior Samoa 7s team in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 IRB World Series.

Kelly's passion for sport and her experience of working with all types of athletes from recreational level to internationalists give her a unique understanding of what is needed to get people back into their chosen sport as quickly as possible.

As well as her specialisation in musculoskeletal physio, Kelly is also a qualified acupuncturist and is currently working towards her masters in clinical practice.

Christopher Neal- BPhty(Physio)

Chartered Physiotherapist

Chris completed his Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2007. Since graduating he has worked within sports physiotherapy clinics and doctors surgeries in Melbourne before moving to Glasgow. Alongside Chris' work within Melbourne he has travelled to Canada as the Head Physiotherapist for the Australian Under 19 Men's Softball team, worked for Australian National Basketball league teams as a Physiotherapist for scout camps, as an on call physiotherapist on the ski fields in Australia and was a team physio for a local football team.

Chris has a particular interest in shoulder injuries and has completed postgraduate training on the complex shoulder- he implements specialised assessment and rehabilitation techniques for the sporting and unstable shoulder.

Chris is certified in dry needling and has broad experience working with sports, spinal and work related conditions.
